Not a bad practice but tends to be confusing if you have to do some maintaining, so it's preferably if you are coding for large enterprises with big amounts of people programming the system.

Also, the second check in if(oscar > 88 && oscar !=86) makes no sence (86 is less than 88, so the execution of code never gets there). Maybe you've meant if(oscar < 88 && oscar !=86)?

Random test cases needed. It's generally good Kata practice and prevents low-level cheats such as passing fixed values in a specific order without solving the Kata.
